This private family vacation home, just 20 miles East of Durango, Colorado and 10 miles from the town of Bayfield, was completed in 1998. The Durango/Bayfield area has many activities including hiking, shopping, biking, golf, and great restaurants. Several spectacular scenic drives are a short drive away. Durango has the famous Durango/Silverton narrow gauge railroad, glider flights, and special events throughout the year.

Bayfield has a fully stocked grocery store (approximately 10 miles from the cabin). Just around the corner (about 7 miles) from the cabin is Lake Vallecito for hiking, boating, sight seeing, mountain bike riding, and dining, including a restaurant on the lake. Purgatory and Wolf Creek Ski Resorts are an easy drive during ski season.

RENTAL RATES: Peak Season (May-October) and holidays: $1,775.00 weekly; $350.00 per night partial week. Three night minimum stay - based upon availability. Off-peak (November-April) except holidays: $1,475.00 weekly; $325.00 per night partial week. (Partial weeks not available during June, July, August and holidays.)

Rates are based on a maximum of twelve (12) people; add $20.00 per week for each additional person.

DEPOSIT: To secure a reservation, we must receive a deposit of $850.00.
The balance of the rental amount ($925.00) plus a refundable security deposit of $300.00 and a non-refundable cleaning fee of $150.00 (total $1,375.00) are due 30 days prior to arrival date. In the event your plans change, and you need to cancel your reservation, we require 30 day written notice. Your deposit will be returned to you within 30 days, minus a $50 cancellation fee.
Your deposit will be forfeited if notice is given less than 30 days out.
The summer months, Christmas and New Years are the most popular times of year in Durango; therefore, the house is often booked several months in advance for these times.
Keys to the log home will be mailed to you after final payment is received.
A long distance calling card is necessary to place long distance calls from the house.

Size: This modern mountain cabin comfortably sleeps 15 adults with a total of 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms (one on each floor) with linens and towels provided. The layout is ideally designed for multiple family gatherings. Sorry, no pets. For those who smoke, please do so outside only.

There are three levels:

The upper level has two bedrooms, each with queen size bed, a loft seating-sleeping-reading area, and full bath.

The main level has two bedrooms, each with queen size bed, and a full bath. The living, dining, and kitchen area is a modern open living plan with extra large windows on all sides that open onto a full size deck. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric range, microwave, dishwasher, self-cleaning oven, refrigerator with icemaker and pantry. All linens, utensils, dishes, and spices are there waiting for you. The spacious living area has a wood burning stove (wood provided), television, and C.D. player. Views of nearby Los Pinos valley and the town of Bayfield are visible from the large windows and large upper deck.

Lower level (1st floor) has one bedroom with twin beds, one full bath, laundry with full size washer and dryer, and day/playroom with sofa that opens to a queen size sleeper, a combination 13" television and V.C.R. Large french patio doors open to the large lower deck.
